Quality
QA/QC Statement
Petrocon is a safety and QA/QC conscious company. Quality is controlled on site through qualified procedures, qualified people and recorded testing — not through assurances after the fact.
The company works to three standing principles: safety first, achieve zero tolerance, and deliver the goods on time. In practice that means the following controls apply to every contract.
- Inspection and test plans
- Every project runs to an inspection and test plan agreed with the client before work starts, with defined hold and witness points.
- Welding procedure and welder qualification
- Welding procedures are qualified to the applicable code, and welders are qualified against those procedures before they work on the line. Pipeline welding follows API 1104.
- Non-destructive testing
- Radiographic and other non-destructive testing is carried out to the extent the specification requires, with results recorded against each joint.
- Pressure and leak testing
- Pipelines and vessels are hydrostatically tested before handover, with pressure and duration recorded.
- Material traceability
- Materials are received against mill certificates and tracked through fabrication so that what is installed can be traced back to its heat number.
- Documented handover
- Projects are handed over with the test records, as-built drawings and certification the client needs for their own operating file.
TODO: confirm with client — the specific codes and standards to cite here (ASME, API, BS/EN), and whether Petrocon holds a certified quality management system such as ISO 9001. The TÜV certificates listed on the credentials page suggest one, but the scope and certificate numbers need confirming before they are stated.

Send us the scope and we will come back with a considered response, not a brochure.
